The day after

Hi Everyone! Hope you all had a great 4th! We did. We went out to Big Creek with our friends, The Pauschers and swam and sat on the beach and had some beverages. The girls played in the sand and we all went home with sand in our swimsuits. Connie, Chloe, and Curt came over for dinner and we grilled steaks and chicken and listened to The Boss. What's more patriotic than that? Born in the USAAA. A little air guitar. Never hurt anyone.

We then made our way into Des Moines for fireworks, which we watched from a baseball field in Urbandale. The girls conked out in the car on the way back home, oh about 1.5 minutes after getting in. They went to bed in their jeans and long sleeved tees and it was a happy day and night for the pumpkins.

Today, the day after, we are working on landscaping in the front of our silly little house. Steve is great at this. He got some of the edging stuff and we put it around our trees in the front and now we are going to redo the spot underneath our picture window. Eventually, this little place will be presentable!

Well, Steve is yelling at me from downstairs to actually help with the landscaping instead of writing about it. Better go. Have a great day!
